Students Visit Prairie View A&M University

Students visit PV to get a glimpse of what college life is like.

“It's a great opportunity when students that never stepped on a HBCU campus get to experience what it would be like to attend. Just an awesome experience!” Vonda High

The Visit

High School students in the Lighthouse Development Institute program from Dallas and Denver. Colorado area got a chance to visit Prairie View A&M for first time in their entire life. This was an opportunity to meet with the admissions office directly to hear there presentation, talk with financial aid, listen to a student panel of current PV students, and visit the entire campus. The trip took about 4 hours as we drove down IH-45 to the city of Prairie View. This was a free trip brought to you by the financial support of sponsors and donors that give to Lighthouse Foundation.

Because of the visit 4 of the students will be applying to the school as one of their college place to attend.

Thank you to the parents and Prairie View A&M for allowing students to get out of their comfort zone and experience life outside of the normal classroom.
