Lighthouse Cares Program is our exclusive volunteer program where we collaborate with students and adults throughout the community on various different projects. It is imperative that we as a society join forces to achieve the ultimate sacrifice of helping those who are less fortunate. Therefore, we rely on the generosity and dedication of the many caring individuals who volunteer and support the overall mission of the Lighthouse Foundation.
Throughout the year, Lighthouse Foundations solicits a plethora of help from volunteers, such as yourself, to support the many different activities that we participate in. Events such as North Texas Food Bank, VIP Kickoff, Simple Fun, Miss Lighthouse 2020, and participation in the Christmas Read To Children's at Primrose School of Bent Trail.
We also have a Creative Team, and even a Lighthouse Letter of Hope Team that writes encouraging letters to those who have fallen. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate in these activities. Your volunteer service provides the purpose for Lighthouse Foundation to be successful in supporting the many organizations here in Texas and all over the world.
So get involved in our community and be a volunteer and support Lighthouse Cares! The participation is very fun, rewarding, and has a long-lasting, positive impact on students. We need you!
So get involved and sign up today!
Lighthouse Cares Program Supports
Letters of Hope Team
One of the three step models of Lighthouse Foundation is to Connect. We believe in a community of people working together to lift each other up in times of uncertainty. Letters of Hope is our way of expressing to others that if you believe in yourself then there's hope for tomorrow. Which is why every quarter the Letters of Hope Team get together to write words of encouragement to people all over the world. You never know how your story can be a positive blessing to others. In 2019, Lighthouse Foundation partnered up with Primrose School of Bent Trail to read How The Grinch Stole Christmas to kids that are under 4 years old.
This year Lighthouse Foundation want to read more books to kids all over the Dallas - Ft. Worth and surrounding areas. As part of the Lighthouse Junior Ambassador group each high school student will be required to volunteer their time reading to kids. Reading is a fundamental basic skill that almost every job in the universe is a requirement. Parents, grandparents, and even singles can join in to find a daycare school or even a retirement community to go read for 30 minutes to an hour. If you're interesting in joining us please fill out the volunteer form below.
